Attendance

Good school attendance is vital in order to provide the best chance for your child to thrive.

It is important as:

  • Statistics show a direct link between under-achievement and absence below 95%.
  • Regular attenders make better progress, both socially and academically.
  • Regular attenders find school routines, school work and friendships easier to cope with.
  • Regular attenders find learning more satisfying.
  • Regular attenders are most successful in transferring between primary school, secondary school, higher education and employment or training.

Attendance Officer

I am pleased to introduce myself as the Attendance Officer at Luton Primary School.

I am passionate about ensuring every child reaches their full potential, which starts with being present and on time in school every day. My role is to work with you to support your child's attendance and address any barriers that may prevent them from attending school.
